Hello!
My name is Aaron. I like to do creative visual work. On this website, you’ll see some examples of what I have done.
I’ve been in the image design and technician game since 2002, upon graduating the Multimedia Production program at Lethbridge Community College. I officially began my career at Midwest Broadcasting in Lloydminster, AB, where I performed duties for a year in Master Control and editing video for promotions. A little while later, in 2004, I accepted a position as Image Technician at the Meridian Booster/Meridian Printing. While I mostly processed images for print (scanning, colour-correction, manipulation), I also contributed my graphic design talents for advertising and commercial work. In 2009, I decided to pursue a life in Edmonton, and managed an easy transfer from the Lloydminster paper to the Edmonton Sun.
Sadly, at the end of 2011, I succumbed to corporate downsizing and was left to pursue my career options elsewhere. Competition in the city was fierce, but I managed to secure a few small gigs and ongoing casual freelance work. Nothing permanent came of it, however.
Fast forward to 2017, where I made the decision to move back to Lloydminster to be closer to family and old friends. I tried a few other gigs to pass the time and pay the bills, but I feel I still have a lot to contribute in the creative world. Now, here we are in 2020. My spirit is refreshed and I feel more ambitious than ever.
